Chainalysis disclosed that an ongoing multi-front cyber attack exposed names, usernames, password hashes and live tokens for all users, prompting the company to remove access to its Reactor and Data Solutions services. The breach also forced the Know Your Transaction (KYT) user interface and API, address screening products and the login page offline while the firm added proactive monitoring and locked impacted accounts. Customers who received a password-reset email cannot reset it yet, but Chainalysis urges them to change passwords on any other systems where credentials may be reused. The company plans to restore KYT and Address Screening and will allow access only from trusted IP addresses added to an allowlist, after which users can reset passwords and rotate API keys. Chainalysis says there is no evidence that investigation data or attribution data has been accessed or altered. 1
