Infleqtion has been awarded a $2 million contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop software for heterogeneous quantum computing systems under the Heterogeneous Quantum Systems (HARQ) program. The primary goal of this project is to create the Multistaq platform, which will facilitate efficient compilation across various qubit modalities and architectures, thereby enhancing the performance and scalability of quantum systems. This endeavor is supported by collaborations with esteemed institutions, including the University of Chicago. The development of such software is crucial for advancing quantum computing capabilities, as it will enable seamless integration of different quantum systems, leading to improved overall performance1. This matters to practitioners and researchers in the field of quantum computing, as the successful development of heterogeneous quantum software will pave the way for more complex and powerful quantum systems, driving innovation and breakthroughs in the industry.
