ZeroRISC has made its comprehensive cryptography stack available as open-source, providing embedded silicon platforms with a robust combination of classical and post-quantum cryptographic capabilities. This release encompasses the Cryptolib software library and an open silicon platform featuring an Asymmetric Cryptography Coprocessor (ACC) that accelerates both traditional and NIST-standardized post-quantum algorithms. Through research collaborations, significant optimizations have been achieved, resulting in 6-9 times performance improvements for ML-KEM and ML-DSA, alongside reductions in memory usage and enhanced configurability1. The open-source nature of this stack is expected to facilitate widespread adoption and integration of post-quantum cryptography in various applications. This development is particularly significant given the looming threat of quantum computing to current cryptographic standards, making the need for post-quantum cryptography migration increasingly urgent for practitioners to ensure the long-term security of their systems.
