Intel has agreed to acquire quantum-computing software provider Classiq Technologies, with the transaction advised by global law firm Hogan Lovells Cadwalader. The deal will merge Classiq’s synthesis platform with Intel’s spin-qubit manufacturing and existing software to form a user-friendly full-stack quantum computing platform, allowing Intel to add Quantum Processing Units (QPUs) to its portfolio of CPUs, GPUs and ASICs. Hogan Lovells Cadwalader’s cross-border team, led by partners such as Jane Ross, John Brockland and Scott Loughlin, handled the M&A, IP, tax, employment, antitrust and other aspects of the definitive agreement. The acquisition aims to position Intel as a full-stack quantum solutions provider and to help quantum technology mature into a mainstream computing business. 1
